Living in an apartment comes with its set of decisions. One such vital decision is choosing the floor you would like to live on.
Though not really a life changing decision that you should be scared about, each floor comes with its set of pros and cons.
Living on Top Floors
There is no doubt that the light and ventilation that your apartment would receive will be great. Also the view from up above will be gorgeous considering the locale your society is in. It will also be devoid of all the unwanted noises and will be much cleaner as compared to lower levels.
The added advantage that light brings is that your apartment will be warmer in winters but the same goes for summers, which might result in a higher electricity bill for air conditioner usage. There will also be waiting for lifts and using the dreadful stairs, in ‘just in case’ situations.
Living on Lower Floors
The temperature stays relatively cool even in hot weather and power consumption is low. But the downside that comes in with it is that you never get direct sunlight. Also your apartment would be more prone to pest and mosquito intrusion.
On the other hand, you would never have to worry about the lift not working, as taking the stairs wouldn’t be much of a strain. Also its safer in terms of emergency as evacuation is quicker.
Living on Middle Floors
Living on middle floors balances out the pros and cons of living on the top floor as well as those of lower levels. It can be considered a safer bet but doesn’t have the luxuries of top floors.
But as they say “to each his own”, weigh the pros and cons and select the floor that best suits your needs.
