Bedroom Essentials: Though all of us have personal choices when setting up our bedroom, there are certain things that each room requires whether it’s a stately suite or a teenager’s room. Set in no particular order, each of these has an essential function to play and if it’s missing from your room, you tend to get that feeling sooner or later.
1. Bed – Of course for it’s called the bedroom. But what kind of bed defines you and what should be its size and style is very important. A major part in deciding upon it comes from the size of your room. Make sure your bed doesn’t occupy the whole space in your room or else it will make your room look small. Arrange your bed in a way that you have enough walking area without bumping into things and space to put other furniture.
2. Bedside Tables – Though ignored sometimes, they are one of the most important parts of your bedroom. Apart from being a resting place for your bedside lamp, they can be used to put your phones, reading glasses, bedtime reads and so much more. Essentially, they complete the look of your new room!
3. Mirror – If you don’t have space for a full-fledged dressing table at least have space enough to incorporate a mirror. They don’t only play its essential role but also make a piece of art and attraction in a room if there isn’t anything else that you’d highlight.
4. Storage – This is something you should take care of while choosing a house / room for yourself. You wouldn’t want the things you need to be in some other part of the home when you spend a lot of time in your own room. Thus, it is important to have enough space for storage in the room itself. Also it would help to keep your room clutter free.
5. Study Table/Chair – We all need that one cozy corner to spend some ‘me’ time on certain days. A chair tucked in the corner by the window or if you are someone who spends a lot of time on the computer/laptop than a small table to sit comfortably on is what completes your room.
A lot goes into making a house, your home. Intelligent use of space is one thing that you should look out for while choosing a house. Comfortable, personally curated décor is something you should create for yourself.
